What We Do

NEPKO Library

The concept behind this project stems from the belief that a bookstore should encompass more than just a space to purchase books. In a world where online book-buying and reading have become commonplace, the optimal solution is to create a bookstore that offers a multitude of experiences, encouraging visitors to spend their leisure time in diverse ways. To achieve this, the design incorporates various features, including start-up offices, coffee shops, lecture and entertainment halls, as well as a convertible amphitheater.
n these functions is facilitated by a gradual ascending ramp, flanked by bookshelves that allow individuals to browse and select books while strolling through the space. The translucent exterior facade serves as a means to visually express the interior atmosphere while ensuring the protection of books from direct sunlight through the use of protective panels.
The outdoor landscape is designed to complement the indoor experience, featuring a platform dedicated to outdoor reading and social interaction. This outdoor space connects with the indoor classrooms. The result is a bookstore that not only offers a vast selection of books but also provides a versatile and engaging environment, fostering intellectual pursuits, social connections, and a vibrant cultural hub for book enthusiasts and visitors alike.
